Members,
AlaPT3 will have sessions during the
conference. These sessions will focus on developing resources for
technology integration. We will all play a role in the planning of these
sessions during our spring meeting....more to come.
You may have heard that the Alabama
Educational Technology Conference for June, 2001, was cancelled due to the
funding crisis in the Education Trust Fund. However, the conference is
STILL ON!
The State Department of Education
is continuing the conference using alternative funding sources that do not
affect the Education Trust Fund. Some changes have been made in order to
stay within the new budget. The Friday sessions of the conference and the
opening General Session have been deleted in order to cut some costs. The
registration cost for the conference has been lowered from $75 to $30. The
main focus of the conference has always been TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT and we are striving to maintain the quality of that content.
