Overview:Alabama's Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology consortium members met on December 12 and 13, 2000 at the Mountain Brook Inn to establish a vision for the statewide catalyst grant. Tuesday was an information-gathering day beginning with opening remarks from Dr. Joseph Morton. Four of the Alabama PT 3 implementation grantees presented overviews of their projects to the meeting attendees. Major topics such as state and national technology standards, professional development for faculty and preservice teachers, technology assessment, and the role of Integraph in AlaPT3 were presented and discussed by the august body. The Wednesday morning session began with an overview of the Office of Technology Initiatives by Dr. Melinda Maddox. During the morning, consortium members met in a round table forum to discuss the affect AlaPT3 would have on the students, inservice and preservice teachers, and faculty. They defined the expectations, benefits and outcomes that will set the focus for AlaPT3
